I’m Eileen. Autism mom and ActuallyAutistic’s favorite punching bag. I document my life online because therapy is expensive and I love trauma bonding with strangers. I have three kids, zero chill, and a face that apparently screams, “let me tell you about ABA.”
I’ve been called an abusive mom more times than I’ve had a full night’s sleep. I post about autism, grief, motherhood, and occasionally things that make people rage-comment in all caps or drop an “unfollow” in the comment section. It’s a wild ride, but at least I have good lighting and a dark sense of humor.
I don’t have it all figured out. I wake up at night wondering what will happen to my profoundly autistic son when I’m gone. My patience is on backorder, and I’m one sensory meltdown away from running off to live in a wine bar. But I show up anyway…raw, unfiltered, with a dash of sarcasm.
