During the summer we like to travel. More precisely, we like to go on road trips and explore the country. My friends always tell me that we’re crazy for going on such long road trips with the boys. We enjoy it though. Charlie never complains in the car, even during our 30 hour drive from Texas to Vermont. He’s perfectly content to just look out the window. Jude is, overall, a road trip expert too. He likes to draw pictures in the car and comment on the landscape around us… Mom, a cow! Daddy! Look! It’s a biiiig airplane!
This year, we traveled under sad circumstances after an unexpected loss in the family so I’m even more thankful to have two little boys who make traveling in the car easy.
Snacks for everyone!
The key when traveling is preparation. I always make sure we have plenty of activities for the kids, snacks, and drinks for the entire family. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know we love NABISCO products. Walmart has many of my favorites which also happen to be the perfect addition to these summer family activities.
For me, a good snack is a snack that you can share with your family and friends!

In Vermont, we spent a lot of time with relatives that we hadn’t seen in a while. Everyone came from all over the country to be together. We ate a lot of food and it was nice to have these NABISCO snacks to munch on. They’re always a hit. We’re driving back to Texas tomorrow and I have a bag filled with Ritz Crackers and OREO to snack on in the car. Sometimes, we drive through areas with nowhere to stop and it’s nice for Willy and I to have yummy treats easily available to fulfill our hunger!
